Getting your garden to look and feel right is harder than it sounds. Orientation, soil type, existing structures, drainage patterns, and your personal tastes all play a part. That is why we start with a detailed site survey and an honest conversation about how you want to use your garden, what frustrates you about it now, and what would make you smile every time you step outside.
From this we develop a concept design. For simpler projects this might be a detailed sketch with annotated planting suggestions. For larger commissions we produce scaled drawings, material mood boards, and even 3D visualisations so you can see the finished result before a single spade goes into the ground.
Flexibility is central to our process. We are not prescriptive designers who impose a house style. Your garden should reflect your personality, not ours. We listen, advise, and refine until you are completely happy with the proposal. Alterations are welcome at every stage, the only constraint is physics.
Our designs account for the size and shape of your plot, the style and impact of existing buildings and boundaries, the aspect and light levels throughout the day, and the ground conditions beneath your feet. We balance bold structural planting with seasonal interest, hard surfaces with softness, and open space with intimacy.
We can provide a design-only service (you build it yourselves or with another contractor) or a full design-and-build package where we take the project right through to completion.
