Drives & Patios Norfolk

Beautifully crafted driveways and patios built to last using premium materials and expert craftsmanship.

About This Service

Your driveway is the first thing visitors see, and your patio is where you will spend your best outdoor moments. Both deserve the same attention to detail that goes into the rest of your home. At Lady Landscapers, we design and build driveways and patios that are as durable as they are beautiful, using materials and techniques that stand up to the Norfolk climate for decades.

We work with a wide range of surface materials including natural stone (sandstone, limestone, granite), porcelain paving, block paving, resin-bound gravel, and decorative concrete. Each material has its own character and practical properties, and we help you choose the right option for your setting, usage, and budget.

Preparation is everything when it comes to a long-lasting surface. We excavate to the correct depth, install compacted sub-base layers, and lay the surface on a full mortar bed (for patios) or sand bed (for block paving) depending on the material and application. Drainage is integrated from the outset, with falls calculated to direct water away from your property.

For driveways, we ensure the surface can handle the weight and turning of vehicles without rutting or sinking. All our driveway installations include proper edging restraints and, where required, we install permeable surfaces to comply with planning regulations around surface water run-off.

Patios are designed as genuine outdoor living spaces. We incorporate level changes, steps, raised planters, built-in seating, and lighting to create areas that feel like natural extensions of your home. We can build barbecue areas, fire pit surrounds, and covered dining spaces that make your patio usable from early spring right through to autumn.

Every installation comes with a written workmanship guarantee, and we provide a care guide so you know how to maintain your new surfaces to keep them looking pristine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?

If more than 5 square metres of your front garden is being paved with an impermeable surface, planning permission is usually required. Using permeable materials or draining water onto a lawn or border avoids this. We advise on the best approach.

How long will a new patio take to install?

A typical patio of 30 to 50 square metres takes around 5 to 7 working days including excavation, sub-base, laying, and jointing. Larger or more complex projects take proportionally longer.

What is the difference between natural stone and porcelain?

Natural stone has unique variations in colour and texture and develops a beautiful patina over time. Porcelain is manufactured, so it is more consistent, extremely low maintenance, and virtually non-porous. Both are excellent choices, it comes down to personal preference.

Can you match our existing materials?

We will always try. We bring samples to your property to compare against existing surfaces. Where an exact match is not possible, we suggest complementary materials that work alongside what you already have.
